HEAT SHRINK IDENTIFICATION TUBES

Type

FP-301

Use

3M Heat Shrink Tubing comes ready to use and with the application of moderate heat automatically moulds to a skin tight fit - even over irregularly shaped objects.
For any environment where wires are joined, connected or terminated.

Features & Benefits

• Simple insulation to heavy duty projection.
• Phase and circuit identification ane wire marking
• Light weight harness covering & wire bundling.
• Excellent chemical and solvent resistance.
• Skin tight even over irregular shaped objects.
• Speedy and easy to use.
• FP-01 polyolefin tubing has 2:1 shrink ratio.

Type

91-AH(A)

Use

Jointing low voltage polymeric insulated cables. 91-AH(A) series can be used with all common crimp connectors and also for splicing with phase crossing.

Features & Benefits

• Made from cross linked polyolefin tubing, which is internally coated with hot melt adhesive. As the adhesive melts and the sleeve shrinks, a perfect waterlight seal is formed. The outer sleeve is manufactured from heavy duty, thick wall, flame retardant tubing.
• Quick and easy installation.
• Excellent moisture sealing.
• Kits available for both 4 and 5 core cables.
• Kits also available for shielded and armoured cables.

Operating Temprature

-67°F to 266°F (-55°C to 130°C)

Type tested and certified by

NA

Sizes

Kits designed to accommodate a wide range of cross sections up to 300mm2.

Type

HDCW

Use

Designed to repair damaged cable sheaths. It is also suitable for use with cable joints and as additional corrosion protectio on undamaged cables.

Features & Benefits

• HDCW is made from modified cross-linked polyolefin with a hot-melt adhesive coated to the inner side of the sleeve. Upon heating, the sleeve shrinks and the adhesive melts, thereby achieving a safe and watertight bond between the sleeve and the cable. A corrosion proof metal clip is used to fully close the sleeve.
• Quick and easy to use.
• Maximum protection against mechanical stress.
• Good bonding to PE and PVC surfaces.
• Excellent resistance to event the harshest environments.
• Forms a perfect seal to prevent moisture ingress.

Operating Temprature

Type

SKE

Use

Heat shrinkable end caps are typically used to seal cable ends and provide
mechanical and environmental protection.

Features & Benefits

• SKE Heat Shrink Heavy Duty End Caps rapidly shrinks, forcing the melted adhesive lining to flow and cover the substrate. The adhesive forms a flexible bond with a wide variety of rubbers, plastics and metals. Upon cooling, the adhesive solidifies, forming a permanent, non-drying, flexible and water resistant barrier. Adhesive reflow will occur at temperatures above 80ºC (176ºF).
• Color – Black
• Material / Boot Outer – Flexible Flame Retardant Polyolefin.
• Adhesive / Inner Layer – TTS-250, Thermoplastic 80°C .
• This product has a 10-year shelf life from date of manufacture when stored in a humidity controlled storage (10°C / 50°F to 27°C / 80 °F and <75>
